We are new owners of the resort formerly known as Fishtales and Fisherman on beautiful Lake Gogebic. We have 6 lakeside cabins and an on-site restaurant. We would love to have you visit us. Whether you are looking to spend time enjoying the beautiful outdoors, wanting to relax and enjoy the peacefulness on the lake, or experience food and dining as you haven’t in a while or maybe ever, you will find it here.

So, what is Northwoods Cuisine? Well, it is a collaboration of recipes built on quality products. It is a passion to create food that resonates within our souls. It is a desire to live sustainably from the resources offered us from the environments that surround us. We elevate our cuisine with a specific emphasis to foods synonymous within the entire Great Lakes Region. We hunt, we fish, we gather… and from that bounty we create the most elegant fare.

Hello! We’re Jen and Steve. We are coming from a suburb of the twin cities in MN but Steve is from the U.P. and has spent a LOT of time up here hunting and fishing and foraging. I also love the wilderness, and since were spending so much time in the U.P, I told him to start looking for a small cabin we could buy so we’d have a place to stay. Instead, he found a resort. So I finished the school year and we sold our home. It has taken a bit more time than I would have liked, but we’re finally here in the beauty of the wilderness.
Please stop by to introduce yourself. We have a lot of projects to do, but I love to meet new friends.
