Activities for Every Season

Fisherman's Paradise

One of the most popular activities for our visitors is fishing. The Resort is located on Lake Gogebic, which is known for its excellent fishing opportunities. The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Visitors can fish from the shore, rent a boat or bring their own, and explore the lake’s many bays and inlets.

Journey into the Waters

Boating is another popular activity in the park, with several boat launches available for visitors to use. Whether you want to explore Lake Gogebic’s many bays and inlets or venture out onto the open water, the park is an excellent place to launch your boat and enjoy a day on the water.

Hunting Season

Another popular activity is hunting. The park is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, which is known for its abundant wildlife. Hunters can take advantage of the park’s proximity to the Ottawa National Forest and the surrounding public lands, which offer a variety of game species, including deer, bear, grouse, and more.

The Sparkling waterfalls

While out on the water why not venture out into the various inlets and rivers to visit the magnificent waterfalls?

Lake Gogebic is home to several beautiful waterfalls that are a must-see for anyone visiting the area. These waterfalls offer a stunning display of natural beauty, with cascading waterfalls, towering cliffs, and lush greenery.

One of the most popular waterfalls in the area is the Bond Falls. The falls are located on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River, just a short drive from Lake Gogebic. The falls drop 50 feet over a series of cascades and are surrounded by a beautiful forest, making them a great place to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.

Outdoor Ventures For Everyone

For those who prefer to stay on land, the park offers a variety of hiking trails that wind through the forest and along the lake’s shorelines. The park also has a beach area where visitors can swim, sunbathe, or relax in the shade.
