The resort offers direct access to the Gogebic Range Trail, which is a part of the extensive network of snowmobile trails in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This trail system offers over 2,000 miles of groomed trails that lead through picturesque forests, past frozen lakes, and over rolling hills. Snowmobiling is an exhilarating way to explore the winter landscape and experience the beauty of the area’s natural wonders.
Hit the Slopes!
For those who prefer downhill skiing or snowboarding, The Resort is also close to several popular ski resorts. Indianhead Mountain and Blackjack Ski Resort are both located within a short drive of the park, and offer a variety of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
Both resorts have rental equipment available and offer lessons for those who are new to the sport.
Western Upper Peninsula - a Winter Wonderland
In addition to skiing and snowmobiling, the western end of the U.P. offers several other winter activities to enjoy. The area is also known for its many cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails. And let’s not forget about all the opportunities to catch the evening dinner on one of the many lakes in the area.
